Mason joined the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce in 2023 and serves as the Director of Education and Research. A lawyer and educator, Mason brings over 15 years of LGBTQ+ advocacy experience to the Chamber. Prior to joining the team, they served as Deputy Director for the Division of Education and Training at the Fenway Institute, Director of Advocacy for Keshet, State and Local Policy Manager for GLSEN, and Executive Director of the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition. In 2018 Mason co-chaired the historic Yes on 3 campaign which successfully defended the Massachusetts trans-inclusive public accommodations nondiscrimination law, in the nation's first ever state-wide vote on transgender rights.

Beyond their full time work, Mason teaches at UNH in Manchester in the Communication's Department, is a board member with The Equality Federation, and serves on the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth. Mason is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, and a 2012 graduate of the University of New Hampshire School of Law with the Daniel Webster Honor's Scholar Program. Mason has received multiple awards and honors including: the Boston University School of Public Health Gail H. Douglass Award for Excellence in Public Health Practice, the University of New Hampshire Kidder Award for LGBTQ+ Inclusivity in Education, and JALSA's Advocate for Justice award.
